SBA to Host Exporting Forum

National Small Business Week is May16 – 20, and on May 18 through 20, the U.S. Small Business Administration will host a variety of events to celebrate America’s small business owners. Among those events is a forum on exporting.

The forum, “Exporting Tools for Success,” will be held Friday morning, May 20 and will explore methods for small businesses looking to increase sales and profits through exporting. As part of the President’s National Export initiative, aimed at doubling exports in the next five years, new tools are being developed to help small businesses compete in the global marketplace, and this forum is designed to walk small businesses through the steps to becoming a successful exporter.

Featured speakers at the forum include: Luz Hopewell, Acting Associate Administrator, Office of International Trade at SBA; Richard S. Ginsburg, Senior International Trade Specialist, Office of International Trade at SBA; Cathy Martine, Executive Vice President of Small Business Solutions and Alternate Channels at AT&T Business Solutions; Darryl J. Bartlett, Vice President/General Manager, k-Space Associates Inc.; and Gene Hale, CEO of G&C Equipment Corporation, Gence Corporation and G&C Service and Supply Corporation.
